Gershow Recycling Grants Scholarships to Local High School Students

Gershow Recycling has awarded three high school seniors with a one-time $1,000 scholarship. The three recipients of the scholarships are Pavel Salnikov of Patchogue-Medford High School, Adam Howe of Belloport High School and Srijita Chakraborty of Longwood High School.

Patchogue-Medford School's Latin Dance Team Has Great Year
June is upon us and with it the end of another school year. Great things have been accomplished by Patchogue-Medford School District's staff and students, 2009-2010 has definitely been the “it” year for many of them, including the Latin Dance Team, a group of talented students advised by Adriana Devers and Gloria Romero, whose mission is to promote cultural awareness through the art of music and dance.
Patchogue Arts Council Presents "Fowl Follies: Works of Goya" by Jessica McAvoy
The Patchogue Arts Council presents recent drawings by Jessica McAvoy at the Lobby Art Gallery at the Patchogue Theater for the Performing Arts, 71 East Main Street, Patchogue. "Fowl Follies: Works of Goya" will be on display from May 21 - June 30, 2010. An artist's reception will be held June 28, 6:30 – 8:30pm. Jessica McAvoy is an emerging artist who lives and works on Long Island. This exhibition displays a collection of bold charcoal drawings that reveals the artist’s interest in an expressive approach to form and space.
