Police Commissioner Richard Dormer to be Honored For His Commitment to Community

Suffolk County Police Commissioner Richard Dormer was honored for his commitment to the community during the Huntington Township Chamber of Commerce 26th Annual Golf Outing Dinner on Monday, June 7.
The Chamber of Commerce is honoring the police commissioner as an extraordinary leader whose commitment to Long Island is inspiring and whose contributions to the Huntington community are immeasurable. The Huntington Township Chamber of Commerce was incorporated in 1925, and represents the interests of business, industry, financial service, not-for-profit and other professionals.
“On Monday evening, we will have the privilege to honor and acknowledge the accomplishments and commitment of Suffolk County Police Commissioner Richard Dormer, a Huntington resident with 40 + years of dedicated service to law enforcement and the residents Suffolk County,” explained Robert Bontempi, Huntington Chamber Chairman. Suffolk Executive Steve Levy will be on hand to recognize Commissioner Dormer’s contributions to public safety throughout the county.
Commissioner Dormer says, “I am very honored to receive such recognition from the Huntington Township Chamber of Commerce. I am thrilled that they recognize all the hard work the men and women of this department do on a daily basis.”
